With a problem-solving approach to data, Oscar views working with data as a puzzle to be solved and a mystery to be untangled. Through his dad, he started to become familiar with data visualisation earlier than most, eventually having his interests lean more towards the behind-the-scenes, engineering side of the field.
In further education, Oscar graduated from Delft University of Technology with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, working through its data track. He became more familiar with data on a professional level, working with databases in PostgreSQL and various programming languages such as Python and Java. Now with even more experience through projects using Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI, he's ready to tackle even more challenges.
Beyond his career, Oscar finds fun in swimming as well as in watching NFL, college football, and baseball, especially involving their unique stats. He also likes to read, and plays board games, card games, and video games in his spare time.
