Dashboard Week - Day 3 - EU Referendum Results

by Carlo Sanzeri

Hi all, and welcome to the final day of Dashboard Week! Our job today was to visualize the EU Referendum results of 2019, more details can be found in Andy's blog here: https://www.thedataschool.co.uk/andy-kriebel/ds26-27-day3

Not much data prep was needed today, as the data was very clean - however my final dashboard is not exactly what I wanted. When I first saw the data I had an idea of making a Hex Map to represent each constituency, however I scoured high and low all over the internet and I could not find the relevant data. I was hoping to make this Hex Map the centerpiece of the dashboard, allowing the user to filter the other graphs and charts to whichever constituency or region they desired. This is something that I will come back to in the new year, as hopefully one of my colleagues has found a dataset that is useful.

Below I have attached a link to the final outcome - as we had only 2 hours to complete this dashboard this morning, I am okay with how it came out, but a bit disappointed that my ideas weren't fully realised.
