Dashboard week took a turn turn towards data preparation of today's challenge; we were tasked with web scraping a website which was all about cheese, htpts://cheese.com/.

Each member of the cohort was given 3 letters of the alphabet which we would then find all the information about cheese starting with them letters. We needed to create a workflow in Alteryx which would return a list of the cheese and all the information about them including, aroma, flavour, country of origin and type of rind.

The workflow involved creating 2 batch macros which would retrieve the name of the cheeses whilst also getting the cheeses on subsequent pages. With the lists of cheeses at hand, the workflow would add the names of the cheese to the URL and with this, could parse out all the relevant information about the cheeses.

The focus of the Dashboard was to explore some of the metrics which were found on the website like the flavours and % of fat in the cheese.

Given the way some calculations were created, they filtered out some of the data, to be worked on in the future.
