On the second day of dashboard week, we received a dataset with Elon Musk's tweets. I didn't have much time for visualization and decided to focus on something uncomplicated but interesting.
The data consisted of 13 csv files, one for each year. I put them together in Prep. Looking at the data, I noticed that Musk has been using emoticons a lot in recent years and I was interested to see how often he uses these.
Since there were so many emoticons, from rockets to unicorns, I came up with the idea to see which tweets he reacts the most with laugh and heart icons Here’s the simple calculation field I used.
Here is the result:
As previously seen, Musk also reacted with laugh icon to multiple users at once and I wanted to get all these users. So I used this custom split function to separate them:
Musk also reacts with different kinds of heart icon, and I used IF statement and contain function to account all of them.
And lastly, I also included the broken heart icon, which was Musk’s reaction when the bitcoin value crashed.
Here’s the final result (improved).
