Does your fiscal year start on 1 April? Want a simple tip to change your fiscal year in Tableau? You’re in luck because this blog post is for you!

What you want to do is right-click on your data source in the top right corner then select date properties.

Once you’ve done that you’ll get the menu below where you can simply select which month your fiscal year starts.

That’s all there is to it!
One thing to note though is that it will start on the first of each month. If your fiscal year starts at the middle of the month that is possible but that’s a tip for another time.
