The fifth week at the data school was a great week which is full of energy and confidence for all members of DSDE 5 cohort.
So what happened? At the end of week 4, we passed the first Alteryx Certification, an Alteryx Quiz as preparation for the Alteryx Designer Core Certification and also a Tableau Desktop quiz. So many good things right? At this moment I felt how much I learned. I still feel like I am struggling with other things, but still the first four weeks were such a success! But this was not everything, we were supposed to do the Alteryx Core Certification.
We were told that it is not necessary that we pass the test from the first time; so if someone does not pass the test, they can take it again after 7 days.
So, did we do it? Yes, we all passed and got the certification and this was agreat addition to our achievments.
I wanted here to give some tips and things to notice that could help you if you want to take the test for the first time.
It does not actually matter if you pass it from the first time or not as you can always try it again after 7 days and it is also free. It was a challenge for me to see if I could learn enough in one week to pass the test. The problem is that this stress alone could have blocked me from passing from the first time. So, my first tip is: DO NOT STRESS OUT ABOUT IT.
Another thing that I would recommend is that if you want to start learning and preparing for the test, learn each tool that is included in the test very well. Starting from the name of the tool to what it really can do and the sense of the tool. I would also pay very good attention to the keywords in the definitions for each tool which can really solve many questions.
In addition, there was something that I wish I knew before the day of the test. There are 4 other certification tests that actually prepare you for the core one. If you pass all 4 tests (find in the screenshot below), then you would automatically get the core certification and vice versa.

And good luck to you with whatever tests you will be taking!
