Bethany Haysom

Beth has a range of experience in both analytical and creative backgrounds, and is accustomed to adapting her skills to a range of roles and industries.

Beth holds a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Sheffield where she graduated First Class with Honours. Here she developed skills in problem solving and analytical thinking, and it was here that her interest in Data Analysis began. She completed a summer role as a Research and Data Analysis Intern, in which she focused on a project analysing and visualising data for a social experiment which explored the effects of Nudge Theory.

She has since worked in the creative industries, building skills in graphic design, illustration and project management, developing strong visual communication skills. Much of this work involved working closely with clients and she enjoys working collaboratively to meet a peoples needs. 

In her time at The Data School, Beth has utilised her creative skills to inform her dashboard design, producing clean, thoughtful layouts with clear narratives in Tableau Desktop and Power BI. Alongside this she has enjoyed applying her logic and problem solving skills in Data Preparation, using Tableau Prep, Alteryx and Power Query. Recently, Beth has demonstrated her Project Management skills, taking on the role of PM for her cohorts first client project, using her organisation and planning capabilities to lead her team, delivering three dashboards that met the clients brief.

Outside of work, Beth enjoys drawing, painting and photography. She also spends her time doing yoga and going on long walks around London’s green corridors.
