Dan is a driven data consultant with experience across a range of industries including finance, web analytics, marketing, sports and the public sector. Prior to joining The Data School, he completed a Master’s in Data Science at the University of Sheffield, where he became familiar manipulating data using SQL and PySpark.
Whilst out on placement, some of Dan's highlights include:
Working for a leading investment management firm, where he maintained and contributed to the development of 20+ Tableau dashboards and 15+ Alteryx workflows, processing over 20 million rows of data daily.
Conducting a three-month machine learning project to support and refine player recruitment at a leading football club.
Project managing a team to build fitness and performance Power BI reports for a national cricket board.
Consulting for a public sector client to help optimise their data collection and visualisation strategy.
Leading a Tableau training session for non-data professionals.
In his spare time Dan loves to travel and took the opportunity to study abroad for a year in Australia. He is also a big sports fan and enjoys both playing and watching sports, particularly football and tennis.
