Jacob Kilroy

Jacob graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from King’s College London. Having decided not to pursue a career in research, he found work as a travel agent, dealing with both corporate accounts and leisure customers.

Having enjoyed his Bioinformatics modules in university, he pivoted towards a career in data via self study and the help of online courses, eventually finding himself at the Data School.

While at Paramount US, he developed a suite of PPM dashboards that provided project and CapEx reporting with a wide business reach. This involved optimising data models, implementing significant UI/UX changes and also developing a custom Tableau admin dashboard to track workbook usage and user activity.

At Aldermore Bank, he led the development of several Alteryx workflows that have automated manual processes, significantly improving business efficiency and data reliability.

During his time at Citeline, he was pivotal in the data migration and redevelopment of a series of commercial dashboards, with in-depth analysis of forecasted figures, drug details and epidemiology. Jacob also developed a spatial data dashboard which allowed clients to quickly identify optimal clinical trial sites.

His most recent client engagement was with Genomics England, where he was responsible for processing sensitve genomic data and building out a client-facing dashboard. This is being used to increase the visibility of available data assets and aiding the commercial team to onboard new clients.
