Olivia Grace Yuki Millar

Olivia joins The Data School with a strong scientific background and a passion for transforming complex data into meaningful insights. After graduating with First Class Honours in Biochemistry from University College London, she took her analytical skills international with a research internship at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, where she conducted lab work and data analysis on symbiotic organisms.

Building on this foundation, Olivia completed an MSc in Infection and Immunity at UCL, where her final research project involved extensive data analysis and visualisation. It was during this project she realised she was more drawn to extracting insights from data and creating compelling visualisations than to traditional laboratory work. This led her to step back and explore career paths that would allow them to focus on what they enjoyed most, ultimately discovering The Information Lab.

Her diverse work experience spans pharmaceutical, public health, retail, and hospitality sectors, providing valuable perspective on how data drives decision-making across different industries. This combination of rigorous scientific training and broad professional experience gives her an understanding of both the technical and practical applications of data analysis.

Olivia's academic background has equipped her with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex datasets.

Outside of work, Olivia enjoys listening to music, watching films, reading, and exploring the London coffee scene.
