There will be Order... of Operations

Order of operations is a ranked list of processes that Tableau follows, to complete the tasks you ask of it. It is useful to know the relative ranks of different tasks that Tableau completes, so you can be in control of the order in which calculations are being carried out, and therefore, what each step is being affected by.

Above indicates the relative position of each step that Tableau computes, from top, to bottom. I've also included a brief description of some of the key operations that you may want to consider if your numbers aren't looking right... maybe an operation higher in the hierarchy is affecting the calculation/step you are working on.
