The past four months have flown by and DS31 are already at the best week of training! DASHBOARD WEEK. I remember when I was in the DS, dashboard week was fun but also pretty terrifying, and now as a Coach I get to be as mean or as nice as I like. Over the next 3 days DS31 will be taking on 3 separate challenges, but no spoilers.
When I have spoken to DS31 about this week, I did ask them what they wanted to do. Whether that be more Data Prep focused, Design or Insights. So today’s challenge is for their FULL CREATIVITY, design and maybe some insights along the way.
This data set was found by Andy, he has a ton of datasets hidden up his sleeve. The Fjelstul World Cup Database is a comprehensive database about the FIFA World Cup created by Joshua C. Fjelstul, Ph.D. that covers all 21 World Cup tournaments (1930-2018). It has 27 data sets organised into 5 groups.
Requirements:
- You must work independently of each other
- Find which group of data you are using and download it from here.
- Data Prep is allowed if you need it.
- Create a dashboard and publish it to Tableau Public by presentation time.
- Write a blog
- Please make sure you reference the dataset correctly!
