Beside understanding the basics of Alteryx and Tableau Prep, as a newbie, my first week was all about settling in, and getting familiar with the company’s culture. Many new faces, few familiar ones from interviews and Meet & Greets.  One thing was standing out for me, and that was the flow of information. TIL like to keep you in the loop whether it’s training schedule, policies, birthdays, placement predictions or a great achievement in Tableau.  There’s a place for everything.  Here are the most important ones:

1.      Convo: Life happens here. You can post, share ,chat, tag and get useful information of just about anything. Private and group chat also available, but it’s highly encouraged to speak out loud.

2.      HiBob: is a people management platform that offers powerful tools to increase productivity. A central hub for HR. You can request holidays, see who’s on holiday, helps you remember upcoming birthdays, and have cool statistics of the company

3.      Notion: An all-in-one tool. A place where you can think write and plan. Helps you to get organized. You can find useful information about TIL, The Data School, mentoring, marketing or sales. The curious ones can even find out who’s who at Tableau.

It's great to see TIL is so open about all this data, and I think it helps employers to engage with the company.
