As I'm feeling generous, you're getting two days to wrap up this weeks dashboard week.

Your task is to submit a viz for the Data + Movies challenge by Tableau, which also means you'll get a free t-shirt whilst you're at it!

Follow the Challenge Starter Kit to obtain a data source and the corresponding data dictionary. Feel free to get further inspiration online and enhance your dataset as you see fit.

Each member of the cohort must choose a different story. Idea's of different areas to focus on could be:

• Focusing on a specific actor’s career
• Focusing on a director’s career
• Focusing on a studio
• Focusing on a particular genre of film
• Comparing actors/directors/studios/genres
• Etc

You must communicate with one another to ensure there is no overlap and create a post on convo before 10am Thursday morning to make sure that we (the coaches) are happy with the topic and make sure they are not too broad. Speak to us on convo (Lorna, Ruth, Carl or Jenny) or find me during the first break at 9:45-10:00 am.

Make sure you read the instructions and T&C's carefully and by Friday 3pm you are presenting your:

• Plan
• Scope
• Sketch
• Viz
• Blog

As per usual you have about 5-10 minutes to present.

Don't think that having two days allows you to get away with not planning your work. Making a proper plan and scoping your project to something achievable will be key!
