My experience with Alteryx certification.

by Ronaldo Licaj

Today most of my cohort DSDE3 here at the Data School Deutschland had our first Alteryx core certification try out exam. My first encounter with Alteryx was here at the Data School, and I can surely say that the whole introduction to Alteryx had worked very well. I was able to follow along and understand the topics at hand as well as solve possible mini challenges during the course. Over all I managed to solve some of the weekly challenges posted on the Alteryx community with complete success. Although, I would like to say here that I don't feel yet at ease with the software although conceptionally I understand the whole approach.

Now, as far as the Alteryx exam is concerned per se I dare admit that I was overwhelmed by how many questions there were in total, 80.In addition I had the feeling that some of them are stated in such a way that they confuse the reader more than they help him. The time given also I felt was not enough given also the seven practical questions that one has to solve during the exam. Trying the data sets after the exam though, as I had saved them already, I would say they were pretty doable. What I feel though is that I need a good repetition on the material at hand and be more focused on during the time I retake the exam. I think the one week we have before retaking the exam is more than enough for me to examine possible gaps I might have, and reconsider the whole exam approach. I hope my experience was helpful for other people and don't take it lightly in any case I would say as a closing line.
