The first week at a new job can be very daunting and overwhelming. However, the information lab eases you into the training and makes it a much smoother transition. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and your first week is very informative.

Your first day is very laid back and consists of setting up your equipment and downloading software that you'll be using throughout your time here. It also includes getting to know more about TIL (the information lab) and having some informal chats with the coaches to get to know more about them.

The rest of the week consist of being introduced to Alteryx and Tableau prep. Both are data wrangling/ cleansing tools. Tableau prep is a little more intuitive, however both require some note taking to consolidate what each tools do. Completing the weekly exercises, which you can find on convo or the Alteryx community website and for tableau you can access them through the BlogSpot, will help you really drive home what is taught during the first week. If you dedicate two, half an hour sessions after finishing the training for each software respectively, you should be adequately prepped for the project given on the Friday. You will know when the training for each software ends and the other begins by accessing the data school calendar.

On Friday, first thing in the morning you'll be given a project to complete before lunch and after lunch you will be asked to present it. This project is linked to your application and you can prep for it by reading other blog posts dedicated to the first week's project as well as doing the previous steps.

If you have any questions throughout the week you can ask anyone in person at the office or on convo. Even something as small as where the best food spots are around the area.

overall the atmosphere here is amazing, the team at large helps you settle in and puts you at ease and largely the experience is what you make it.
