We had 58 applications for DS14, who started their training in early April 1st. Week 1 was all about learning the basics of data prep, whereas week 2 was about visualization best practices and an intro to Tableau. So what exactly does it take to get into The Data School? Let’s take a look at DS14’s applications.

As you look at these, you might notice the data sets are different. Why?

• Some of them applied early enough and showed enough promise that we brought them in for an early interview.
• Some were finalists from previous cohorts, e.g., DS13, and were offered a spot in DS14.
• Some were offered the role after the final interviews for DS12.
