William Guicheney

William’s passion for the field of international development and its mission to find innovative, sustainable, and scalable solutions to challenges faced by developing nations has been the guiding force behind his academic and professional careers. After completing a B.A. in Economics and an M.Sc in Development Management, and working as an impact and strategy consultant for various startups and social business, he chose to join the Data School in order to strengthen his analytical and technical skills.

After completing a consultancy project with the Inter-American Development bank on the potential of Big Data for addressing public policy and service delivery issues in developing nations, he understood there was a growing need for development practitioners armed with strong data skills. He hopes to bring his Tableau, Alteryx, and analytics knowledge into the cutting-edge world of Data for Development.

William was born in France but moved from a very young age, growing up in nine countries mainly in Asia, Europe and North America In his free time, William is an avid climber and cyclist.
